Coaching

Coaching sessions can be held near where you live or work, however it’s important get out of your everyday context. It makes a huge difference to your ability to see things with a fresh perspective. Coaching is also available via Skype.

I am based in Kent and sometimes clients really value the opportunity to get away from the office. I have a number of venues we can use for coaching or you may be interested in getting outside for some fresh air.

To discuss the ways we might work together send me an e-mail at zdcoaching@icloud.com and I’ll be in touch to arrange a call.

I am a trained Coach (3D Coaching and Coaching Development) and an Accredited Myers Briggs Practitioner. I have worked with clients in the commercial, public and third sector.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership. We work together to ensure you are clear about what you want and how you get there. Having a coach ask you questions and reflect back what they are hearing is a very powerful way to get clarity and consider new perspectives.  It empowers you to find your own solutions and the accountability of a coaching relationship ensures you make progress.

Is coaching for me?

People are interested in coaching for lots of different reasons but the one thing they all have in common is that they want change. We can get stuck in the familiarity of our situation and find ourselves facing the same old challenges. Coaching offers you both support and challenge. My clients often say to me that our coaching conversations are unlike any other conversation they have. Coaching offers clarity, momentum, accountability and transformation.

What coaching isn’t

Coaching is different to mentoring and consulting. As your coach I’m not here to give you solutions or tell you what to do. You know yourself best and it’s my role to support you in discovering the solutions that are uniquely suited to you.

Coaching is also distinct from counselling or therapy. Coaching is about creating goals together and focuses on what you want in the present and the future.

How it works - becoming my client

If you are considering coaching and have questions you'd like to discuss, please contact me  - I’d love to hear from you.

If you decide coaching is for you we will arrange a time to discuss exactly what you want to get from the coaching and how we will work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

From then on coaching sessions take place around once a month, via Skype or face to face, depending on location.

What I ask of you as my coaching client is that you commit fully to the coaching process. This is your life and only you can make the changes needed to see you reach your goals. I ask that you prepare for sessions, by getting your head in the right space and also by taking the time to think through what you want to get from each session. I also ask that you follow through on the commitments you make in the coaching sessions to ensure you see the progress you want.
