If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.
About You
I get it. You’re juggling work pressures, keeping in touch with family and friends, cleaning the house, replying to a million What’sApp messages, making sure there is food in the fridge, looking after sick family members, arranging your social life, attempting to exercise and of course squeezing in some Netflix. Life is full.
You want your business to succeed, you want to be a brilliant parent, spouse, friend and you want to make a difference in your work and life. But maybe like me, you’ve realised that when you’re exhausted and running on empty nobody wins. In fact it impacts the people and the work we love the most.
What if we could find another way to live? One where we recognise that how we’re doing REALLY matters. Where we fight to prioritise the habits and practices that nourish us and bring life to everything else we do. Imagine what it would feel like to carve out time for the things that fuel and restore you. Imagine having more energy and a clear head. Imagine having clarity about what matters to you most and giving it your all. Imagine thriving in your life and work.
My Story
One evening five years ago I suddenly became very ill with viral meningitis. The severe symptoms lasted a month, however it was a year before the fatigue and exhaustion that accompanied viral meningitis passed. During this time I also went through a time of huge change in my personal and work life. Over a period of 18 months I moved house to a new town, left the organisation I’d worked at for 14 years, set up my own coaching business, got married, bought a house and had a baby. It was a very happy time and all these changes were incredibly exciting ones.
However in the years that followed I realised that the combination of being so ill and experiencing a lot of change so quickly, had left my body and my mind exhausted. I was getting ill frequently and felt tired all the time. I also started to experience symptoms of stress and felt increasingly angry and overwhelmed.
I have spent the last three years reading and learning about what we need to do to be at our best physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I’ve read and applied what I’ve learnt to my own life. I’ve learnt about rest, the importance of friendships, the food we eat, how often we need to move our bodies, the importance of getting outside in nature and fresh air, why knowing our purpose matters so much, why we need time on our own and so much more.
My training and experience
I am a trained Coach (3D Coaching and Coaching Development) and an Accredited Myers Briggs Practitioner. I am an experienced speaker and trainer. I am not a doctor or a counsellor, nor am I an expert in nutrition, exercise, psychology. However I am an avid reader about wellbeing and I live what I learn.
For twenty years I have worked with people who care deeply about the work they are doing and want to make a lasting impact. Increasingly though I’ve noticed that these same people are often living in survival mode. Their minds and their bodies are exhausted but they keep going. Until they don’t. Sadly often it’s not until we something serious happens that we change the way we live.
Working together
In my coaching I create space for you to explore how you’re really doing and together we’ll discover what you need to change in order for you to thrive. Then you can give yourself more fully to what matters to you most. You can read more about the coaching packages I offer here.
